Coyote Beach Guest Compound

Joshua Tree, CA

Set against the breathtaking desert backdrop of Joshua Tree, this guest compound sanctuary is a showcase of efficient, thoughtful design. With a limited budget and compact spaces, every element was carefully planned to maximize functionality and style. The compound features three distinct cabins—a serene bedroom, an airy living room, and a modern bathroom—connected by a wooden deck that seamlessly integrates the indoor and outdoor spaces. The deck extends to a small plunge pool, offering a refreshing retreat with stunning views of the desert and mountains.

Each cabin is designed with purpose and simplicity. The bedroom offers large windows framing the desert landscape, while neutral tones and natural textures create a calming ambiance. The living room combines earthy decor with an open connection to the deck, perfect for relaxation or entertaining. The bathroom is a functional yet elegant space, with custom cabinetry and refined finishes.

The exterior celebrates the desert’s rugged beauty with xeriscaped gardens and native plants, connected by a wooden boardwalk that blends with the natural surroundings. The plunge pool serves as the outdoor centerpiece, offering guests a tranquil escape under the expansive desert sky.

Despite tight constraints, this project transformed challenges into opportunities for innovation. This Joshua Tree Guest Compound  is a peaceful, modern retreat that harmonizes with the environment, providing guests with a luxurious yet grounded desert experience.
